COMMUNITY MONEY ADVICE TRAINING DAYS

In order to provide debt advice in the UK, your organisation must usually have FCA authorisation, unless you are exempt (eg: local authority). Debt advice training can be completed at any time, but (unless exempt) FCA authorisation must be obtained before you can open your service.

 

As a CMA affiliation requirement, Debt Advisers in CMA affiliate debt advice centres must be working towards the CMA Level 3 Award in Generalist Debt Advice. If you believe you may have other equivalent MaPS accredited training, please email us to discuss.

 

Online Training will be delivered using Zoom video conferencing, for which you will require a computer or tablet with working webcam and microphone. Hard copy materials will be posted, aiming to arrive well before the training date(s).

Zoom training timings are 9.30am - 3.30pm

 

Face-To-Face Training.  If you would like to request face-to-face training please complete this form:  TM-18 CMA Training Booking Form.

F2F training timings are usually 10.00am - 4.00pm

 

Connect Money Mentor Training - CMA Affiliate Centres Only.  Please note that this is a 1.5 day training course. The timings you will see below for this course are the start time for the first day and the end time for the second day. The full day training (first day) is 6 hours and the half day training (second day) is for 3 hours

Training Fees for Open Courses are per person per training day. CMA Affiliate centres qualify for a £45 per person per day discount which requires a promo code during checkout.  This has been emailed to centre managers and can also be found in Centre Resources under 'Training'.  To qualify for CMA Affiliate discount, the application for your centre to join CMA must have been processed before booking training.  For non CMA centres a discount of 15% is available for charities on proof of charitable status, please contact [email protected]
