Connect Money Mentor Training Course (CMA CENTRES ONLY):

CMA Money Mentor Training is only for those working in CMA Connect centres. This is a two day 'live' course and includes additional e:learning modules to cover all the skills you will need to be an effective Money Mentor.

The Connect Money Mentor Training Course covers the following:

Day 1

  • Causes and Effects of Debt
  • The CMA Connect Support Process
  • What Does and Does Not Constitute Debt Advice
  • Budgeting
  • Maximising Income and Minimising Expenditure
  • Emergencies, Priority and Non-priority Debts

Day 2

  • Creditors and credit reports 
  • Options for Tackling Debt Problems
  • Hub Referrals and External Referrals 

Additional e:learning:

  • Listening Skills for Money Mentors & Debt Advisers
  • Client interview activity
  • Case studies

  • Training manuals will be provided for each delegate in both pdf and hardcopy formats.

Course fee: £150 per head for the two day training course.
