CMA is seeking to appoint four new roles to support the rapid expansion of the charity and the affiliate network, and we are now inviting applications for these positions, as follows:
IT Assistant
£25K pro-rata, 12 hpw flexitime.
Location: Working from home
This is an exciting new role, put in place to support the IT Manager at a time when CMA is continuing to grow as an organisation, and a more structured approach to IT is required.
We’re looking for an IT assistant, who is knowledgeable and personable, and has general all-round IT skills.
The role will involve:
- Hardware installation + support (Primarily mac environment)
- Software installation + support (G Suite, MS Office, Antivirus etc)
- Web application (Catalyst) support (part of the first-line team, with second-line backup)
- Working with others on future web application specification and development – and user acceptance testing
CMA is a small charity, and most staff work from home. Confidence and proficiency in using video conferencing software (Zoom, Google Meet) is essential. Experience of working in the debt advice sector, or for a small charity, is desirable.
Candidates are required to be of Christian faith - GOR exemption applies.

Operations Support Manager (OSM) Midlands [Applications have now closed for this role]
£26K pro-rata, 16 hpw flexitime
Location: Home based and regional travel
CMA is looking to appoint an Operations Support Manager (OSM) to join our UK national Operations Team and provide regional support to CMA affiliate Debt Advice and Connect centres across the Midlands region (roughly: Welsh border across towards Kettering). Ideally you will be based in the Derby/Leicester/Cannock area (central to the region), but all candidates based within the Midlands region will be considered.
The OSM will cover approximately 22 established centres, and also work to establish new centres across the region.
This is a 16 hour per week role, flexible time, but typically worked across 2 days per week.
We're looking for someone preferably with face-to-face debt advice experience (though we will also consider other relevant experience), willing to undertake travel across the region, visit centres (so flexible hours working will be required), providing support and encouragement and undertaking annual audits of CMA affiliation standards. You will also keep in regular contact with your centres via phone and email, and employ Zoom conferencing when appropriate. You will have a good understanding of the personal debt crisis facing the UK, including the causes and effects of debt, along with genuine non-judgmental compassion for people whose lives have been blighted by debt and money problems. You will be managing a mixture of CMA Debt Advice Centres and CMA Connect Centres.

Operations Support Manager (OSM) East Anglia [Applications have now closed for this role]
£26K pro-rata, 16 hpw flexitime
Location: Home based and regional travel

Ideally you will be based in the Cambridge/Norwich/Peterborough area, but all candidates based within the region will be considered.

This is a 16 hour per week role, flexible time, but typically worked across 2 days per week.

CMA Hub Debt Adviser: expression of interest [Applications have now closed for this role]
£22K pro-rata 16 hpw flexitime
Location: Home based
We are looking to appoint a debt adviser trained to a minimum of Advice Level (CMA PTS 1,2,3 or equivalent) to join the CMA Hub debt advice team. You will be a member of a friendly, home working team, providing remote advice (employing email, Zoom, phone, Whatsapp, etc) to clients referred by external agencies and/or from our Connect Centres, in partnership with the centre’s Money Mentors.
Candidates are required to be of Christian faith - GOR exemption applies.
The start date for the successful candidate will be mid-2022, date to be confirmed, so at this stage we would like to receive expressions of interest for shortlisting.
The role will report to the CMA Hub Manager, Claire Daniels.
