Community Money Advice itself does not directly offer advice; instead advice is provided through our member centres. All CMA member centres must adhere to certain basic principles, including the following:
- Advice given must be completely free
- Although Centres may be run by churches or other voluntary groups, they must advise people of all races, creeds and colours, without prejudice.
Use our new Find a Centre facility to find your nearest local CMA member centre.
If we do not yet have a centre in your area, click here to see a list of other organisations that may be able to help.
Alternatively, you may download a Self Help pack. This is a simple booklet which sets out a basic process for setting out what your income and expenses are each month, what you owe to creditors, and sample letters you can write to your creditors.
The Self Help pack is in Adobe PDF format. If you do not already have Adobe Reader on your computer, click the Adobe icon below to visit the Adobe website where you can download the free Adobe Reader software.
