CMA Level 3 Award in Generalist Debt Advice

All advisers working within Community Money Advice centres are required to complete CMA Level 3 Award in Generalist Debt Advice (MAS Accredited to Advice Level). This comprises three face-to-face training days as well as two post-course online assessment tests which must be completed and a pass mark of 75% gained within two months of attending the Parts 2 and 3 workshops, along with undertaking in-house training on Listening Skills and Role Play. There is an 18 month period in which to complete these five elements.

CMA is able to take anyone interested in learning about being a debt adviser from a position of no knowledge to becoming a fully trained, accredited adviser, covering the full debt advice process.

This training program is also open to anyone who does not work in a CMA centre. Please contact: [email protected] for more details.

Booking to attend a training day is simple and can be done online using the links below or by emailing [email protected]

You will receive joining instructions one week before the date of the training day.

The training from Community Money Advice gave me the understanding and confidence to acknowledge I had a debt issue.  I consulted with my manager about ways to help me become debt free and how to adopt a manageable budget for my family.  I was supported 100% through a big emotional and psychological struggle, having to face my debts and find a way through it all.  I decided on a Debt Relief Order.  When it was approved I felt so much weight lifted and it now puts me in a better position when advising clients as I have personal experience.  I love helping others.  There is no greater gift than helping to ease the weight others carry.
