CMA Level 3 Award in Generalist Debt Advice

All advisers working within Community Money Advice debt advice centres, are required to complete the CMA Level 3 Award in Generalist Debt Advice (MaPS Accredited at Advice Level). This course comprises three training days as well as two post-course online assessment tests which must be completed and a pass mark of 75% gained within two months of attending the Parts 2 & 3 training days, along with undertaking in-house training on Listening Skills and Role Play. There is an 18 month period in which to complete these five elements.

CMA is able to take anyone interested in learning about being a debt adviser from a position of no knowledge to being fully trained and completing accredited training. This training program is also open to anyone who does not work in a CMA centre.

Booking to attend a training day is simple and can be done online using the links below.

You will receive joining instructions approximately one week before the date of the training day.

"The training from Community Money Advice gave me the understanding and confidence to acknowledge I had a debt issue.  I consulted with my manager about ways to help me become debt free and how to adopt a manageable budget for my family.  I was supported 100% through a big emotional and psychological struggle, having to face my debts and find a way through it all.  I decided on a Debt Relief Order.  When it was approved I felt so much weight lifted and it now puts me in a better position when advising clients as I have personal experience.  I love helping others.  There is no greater gift than helping to ease the weight others carry."
