The CMA Part 1 training day is aimed at people with little or no experience of debt advice. It can be used as a kick start to a training programme or just as an envisioning day to find out if debt advice is for you. The day covers the following topics:

Liabilities, contracts and Consumer Credit Act 1974
Priority and Non Priority debts
Maximising income and minimising expenditure
Financial statements
Repayment strategies

The CMA Part 2 training day is aimed at those who have already attended the Part 1 training day or have some prior experience on the field of debt advice. This is an ideal day to increase your knowledge of the whole debt advice process and will allow you to more than meet the entry requirements for the yellow route training. The day covers the following topics:
Financial statement refresher
Priority debt repayments
Alternative repayment strategies
Administration procedures
The court process
Post judgement options
Further exercises
Course fee £25.00 per head for individuals or CMA members, (£40 per head for non-CMA organisations) per head to cover all materials
This day is part of the Money Advice Trust Wiseradviser training and is being arranged by Stewardship Money. Applications should be made to richard.talbot@stewardship.org.uk. The programme covers the following topics

OFT guidelines for debt management
relevant court forms and the legal process to recover debt through the County Court

This day has been specially commissioned by Community Money Advice for anyone who wishes to know more about the topics of Bankruptcy or Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVAs).
